The transhipment facility has a network of 10 tracks with a total length of over 7 kilometres. The European gauge of 1435 mm, used by 60% of the world's railways, combines the broad 1520 mm gauge typical of Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and other countries east of the Slovak border.

We have high-quality handling equipment. A powerful gantry crane with a lifting capacity of up to 45 tonnes operates above Interport's track. The terminal equipment also includes a modern reach stacker for handling intermodal containers and forklifts, including large ones with a lifting capacity of 22 tonnes, capable of lifting heavy loads such as steel coils, etc. From 2026, we will have two new high-tech gantry cranes with automation and maximum efficiency.

We can store up to 1,000 TEUs on-site. We have enough space for our storage and to work with them safely and efficiently. Over the next two years, we will expand the storage facility to a target of 4,000 TEU. Interport can also store handling trailers and swap bodies. 

We offer comprehensive warehousing services - from renting warehouse space to managing a warehouse for a specific commodity, as well as the necessary handling and customs services. We have a 25,000 m² covered hall with a clearance of 15 m, suitable for food products, palletized goods, and big bags, and outdoor storage capacities of up to 60,000 m².

Up to 100 trucks can be parked in the fenced area with security service so that transhipment from trains to trucks and vice versa can take place without any complications or delays. The service also includes truck weighing or refreshments on the Interport premises.

Thanks to our partnerships with major international carriers, we provide rail and road transport to all destinations, including intermodal transport and shipping from supplier to end user.

Our customs declarants will prepare all necessary documents for export, import, and/or transit of goods (T1 and others). We have a public customs warehouse and indoor and outdoor facilities for temporary storage of goods. An indisputable advantage is the customs office is located directly on Interport's premises.

Interport, a significant logistics terminal, received a grant of EUR 53,000,000 from the European Union to revitalise and modernise the transhipment facility to create a modern logistics hub. In the future, this revitalised cargo hub, thanks to its strategic location and the investment in modern technological equipment, will be one of the backbones of strategic logistics between the European Union and the Eastern markets. The revitalisation of INTERPORT is divided into three phases. However, it will be carried out while the transhipment facility operates, with a slight reduction in services. Still, the essential functions of transhipment, storage of cereals, palletised products, steel coils, and bulk material will be ensured.
